When youth groups enter our Detroit Headquarters to volunteer, many of these children get the opportunity to meet Bianca Moore, our Youth and Nutrition Program Associate. She helps them learn about Gleaners and how they can help their peers.
For over 14 years, Alan Eidelman has been volunteering with Gleaners. He became involved while teaching History and Government at the Academy of the Sacred Heart.
“The sophomore, junior, and senior students all volunteer every Thursday as a part of their curriculum, and this was my service site I was assigned,” he shared.
For the past eight years, L&M Machining & Manufacturing owner and President Larry Morath and his team have committed to helping Gleaners end the food gap for children through their “Fill the Skids, Feed the Kids” campaign.
